What is the RAID Token and how does it work with the ICERAID App?

The RAID token is the native cryptocurrency that powers the ICERAID app, a decentralized application (dApp) built on the Solana blockchain. The RAID token is used within the ICERAID ecosystem for transactions, rewards, and staking.

To interact with the ICERAID app, you’ll need a Solana-compatible wallet, and one of the most popular choices is the Phantom wallet. You’ll also need to connect your Phantom wallet to the ICERAID app to access its features. Additionally, if you want to trade RAID tokens, you can do so on Raydium, a leading decentralized exchange (DEX) on Solana.

What is Raydium?

Raydium is a decentralized exchange (DEX) and automated market maker (AMM) built on the Solana blockchain. Unlike traditional exchanges that rely on order books to match buyers and sellers, Raydium uses liquidity pools where users can swap tokens instantly.

Step-by-Step Guide to Downloading and Setting Up a Phantom Wallet

To use the ICERAID app and trade RAID tokens on Raydium, you’ll first need to set up a Phantom wallet, which is designed specifically for the Solana blockchain. Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Download the Phantom Wallet

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to phantom.app using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Brave).
  2. Install the Browser Extension:
    • Click “Add to [Your Browser]” (e.g., “Add to Chrome”).
    • Follow the prompts to add the Phantom extension to your browser.
    • Pin the Phantom icon to your browser toolbar for easy access.

Step 2: Create or Import a Wallet

  1. Open Phantom:

Step 3: Fund Your Wallet with SOL

To interact with the ICERAID app or trade on Raydium, you’ll need SOL, Solana’s native token, to pay for transaction fees (typically very low, around 0.0001–0.001 SOL per transaction). It’s recommended to keep at least 0.05 SOL in your wallet to avoid failed transactions.

  1. Buy SOL on an Exchange:
    • Use a centralized exchange like Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken to purchase SOL.
    • Sign up, complete any required verification, and buy SOL using fiat (e.g., USD, GBP) or another cryptocurrency.
  2. Transfer SOL to Your Phantom Wallet:
    • In Phantom, click “Receive” to copy your wallet’s Solana address.

    • In Phantom, go to the “Tokens” tab and click “Add Token.”
    • Paste the RAID token address and confirm. The token should now appear in your wallet.
  3. Swap SOL for RAID: Once you have added SOL to your wallet, you can swap for RAID by CLICKING HERE.

Connecting Your Phantom Wallet to the ICERAID App

To use the ICERAID app, you must connect your Phantom wallet to interact with its features. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the ICERAID App:
    • Navigate to iceraid.us website (ensure you’re on the legitimate site to avoid scams).
  2. Connect Your Wallet:
    • On the ICERAID homepage, click the “Launch App” button. Then click “Connect Wallet”.
    • Select “Phantom” from the list of supported wallets.
  3. Approve the Connection:
    • A Phantom wallet popup will appear asking for permission to connect. Review the details and click “Connect.”
    • Once connected, you can upload photos of criminal suspects and choose the criminal activity associated with the suspects.
